Ski Shop History
My name is Mo and I am the new owner of Blue Valley Ski and Board Rental. I have co-managed this shop for the since 2016 until I had the chance to fully take it over. I love the ski business and this is truly a dream come true. We’ve made some changes, the grumps are gone and I have hired a great, customer service oriented crew of people that love to ski and board.
Learning to ski and board and spending time on the mountains with my family and friends were some of the best times of my life. My family’s trips out west were always amazing and I am so grateful that my parents exposed us to skiing at an early age. I have worked at ski and board shops my entire life. Tuning skis and boards, sales and lots of rentals… I’ve always enjoyed the rental aspect of it. People are excited to be getting on the hill and I am excited for them. I’ve been there and it is great to give back and help create great memories for you and yours.
I have been skiing and boarding since 1986 and my family has a long history of skiing. I even have a photo in the shop of my grandfather at Squaw with leather boots and wooden skis. I taught skiing for a while then became a competitive boarder in the late 80’s to mid 90’s until I moved to Breckenridge in 1995. In Colorado I just fell in love with the big mountain experience. Skiing and boarding are pure joy. My goal is to help you find that joy.
